Get Behind the Wheel - Beginner’s Throwing Workshop

We’re excited to offer an action-packed one-day class for people wanting to try out the pottery wheel! This 2 hour experience is designed for people who have never used a wheel, or haven’t in a really long time. Prep work is completed and clay is preportioned, so you can jump right on to the wheel. You’ll receive instruction on centering, pulling walls, and creating basic shape within your clay and then you’ll get time to have fun and mess around on the wheel. You’ll get to learn through trial and error how different movements affect what you're building. Our hope is you have fun diving head first into a new hobby and fall in love with the art of ceramics.

Please wear clothes you’re okay with getting messy and plan to remove all jewelry. Long hair will need to be pulled back and short nails are recommended.
