Join a community of makers who love to create pottery by hand-building and throwing on the wheel.

WHat is a makership?

The Wheelhouse Studio Makership is a full-access pottery studio membership designed for ceramic artists of all levels who want to create in community. The membership provides 24/7 key fob access to a shared ceramics studio equipped for wheel throwing and hand building, with dedicated space to work with clay, slip, and glaze alongside other makers. Makers receive discounts on ceramic supplies, first access to new pottery classes, and invitations to exclusive member-only workshops, fostering skill development, collaboration, and creative exchange. More than just studio access, our Makership is about building a vibrant pottery community — a place where artists come together to learn, share, and grow to push the bounds of their creative wheelhouse. Our application process is simple and intentional—answer a few questions about your pottery background, share examples of your work, and tell us what makes you want to be part of our studio community.

STUDIO DAY PASSES

Not ready to commit to a monthly membership? We offer day passes for makers who want flexible access to the studio. Day passes allow you to work during open retail hours and enjoy use of our shared studio resources, including wheels, slab rollers, community tools, and a selection of glazes. Instruction and clay are not included, but clay is available for purchase in the studio. It’s an easy way to carve out creative time, work independently, and connect with our welcoming community of makers—whether you’re dropping in to throw, build, or simply be part of the energy.

Purchasing a day pass still requires an approved application to be a studio maker. Once approved, you will receive access to purchasing day passes.
